Walking on Sunshine
Spring is definitely in the air. Despite the wind, I can feel the warmth slowly seeping into the atmosphere. Or maybe it’s just that I can’t stop envisioning my upcoming sunshiney honeymoon. Which is truly inching closer than I ever thought it would. Or perhaps it’s that I’m feeling all warm inside because of the amazing (30th!!!) birthday wishes and upcoming Miami engagement party.
Anyway.
Even if YOU aren’t feeling all warm and fuzzy, these floral high heels – that cost a mere $25 from Forever21 – will certainly give you a serotonin boost.

Wonderful Winter Wedding Wonderland
A Quick Note from Me:
I felt incredibly fortunate that Rima, of Rima Campbell Photography, commented on one of my posts. Her images are dazzling and she truly captures the essence of the couple that she is photographing. She kindly shared with me the pictures she took of a couple she recently worked with and now you get the pleasure of seeing her awesome work in action.
From Rima Campbell to You:
Having already photographed Aaron and Melanie for their engagement session at Oglebay Resort back in August, I was really looking forward to being a part of their special day. They tied the knot on December 4th, 2010 at the Yorkville Methodist Church in Yorkville, Ohio followed by a reception at the River City Artisan Center in Wheeling, WVa. The decor incorporated all of the good things you associate with this time of year — fluffy snow, personalized Christmas ornaments, brightly-lit trees and cookies — creating a vibe not unlike one you associate with sitting in front of a warm, crackling fire with friends and loved ones. They threw a heck of a party and danced the night away while a light dusting of snow fell outside. I wish them both the very best as they start out their new lives together.

Decor that Pops
I love things that have two purposes. For example, apples taste delicious but ALSO serve as great decor for our (new!) glass table when placed inside a vase or bowl. Our (new!) ottoman is great for propping my feet up on (as I’m doing right at this very moment) and ALSO serves as storage for guest pillows and sheets. This kind of stuff… it really makes my day. No joke. And totally key for a NYC apartment.
So you can imagine my excitement when I learned about these decoration poppers from EmersonMade. Have guests throw them instead of rice. String them together to create colorful garland. Or even have the guys wear them on their lapels.
Efficiency – and prettiness – at its finest!

Lovely Lace Wedding Cakes
Lace at a wedding isn’t anything new. From dangling doilies to the wedding dress, lace is, in fact, quite common. But if you’re looking to (literally) weave the lacy theme through other non-traditional elements, head straight to the cake:
